Oaktoberfest Dinner

Celebrate the coming of fall with a beer pairing dinner featuring beers from Long Grove’s own Buffalo Creek Brewing. This dinner will kick off the official Oktoberfest season, so it seemed perfect to partner with a brewery that features so many well crafted traditional German styles. Our chef ,Christian Alejandro, has put together a 4(+)-course meal perfect for some classic beer pairings. Our house Cicerone, Gabriel Boden, has been working with Buffalo Creek Brewing owner + brewer, Mike Marr to ensure the beers enhance and elevate the meal.

This dinner will be served as one group seating, so it is important to show up on time.

Amuse-Bouche:

Oyster on the Half Shell with Cucumber Mignonette

Welcome Beer: Angelic Helles

First Course:

Beet Carpaccio with Goat Cheese, Microgreens & Pistachio Dust

Beer Pairing: Mutters Holtz Hefeweizen

Second Course:

Seared Scallops with Lemon Beurre Blanc & Asparagus

Beer Pairing: Half Nelson wheat ale.

Third Course (Main):

Duck Breast with Cherry Gastrique & Root Vegetable Purée

Beer Pairing: Buffalo Kriek

Cheese Course:

Aged Gouda, Brie, and Blue Cheese with Walnut Toast

Beer Pairing: Big Ludwigski Marzen

Dessert Course:

Dark Chocolate Torte with Raspberry Coulis

Beer Pairing: Bus Wedgie Dunkel
